This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is issued by United Media LLC, a company established in the United Arab Emirates, operating the “Hey Renter” brand and the website heyrenter.com, together with any associated subdomains, mobile-optimized pages, WhatsApp Business channels, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). In this Policy, “United Media LLC,” “United Media,” “Hey Renter,” “HeyRenter,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to United Media LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors. “You,” “your,” or “User” refers to any person who accesses, browses, or otherwise uses the Platform, whether or not they submit a booking inquiry or complete a rental.
This Policy is intended to be read together with our Terms and Conditions and our Disclaimer, each of which is incorporated into this Policy by reference. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions regarding the handling of personal data, this Policy governs; for all other matters, the Terms and Conditions govern.
By accessing, browsing, submitting information to, or otherwise using the Platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy in its entirety, without limitation or qualification. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, your sole and exclusive remedy is to immediately discontinue use of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform following any update to this Policy constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the updated Policy.
United Media LLC operates Hey Renter as an online marketplace and referral platform that aggregates and displays vehicle rental listings sourced from independent, third-party rental companies (“Suppliers”). The Company:
Because the Company does not process or hold customer payments and is not a party to any rental agreement, the scope of personal data the Company collects, retains, and controls is limited relative to a company that directly transacts with consumers. Nonetheless, this Policy is drafted broadly and shall be interpreted broadly in the Company’s favor to ensure the fullest possible protection of the Company, United Media LLC, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensors, contractors, and the Hey Renter brand, against any claim, liability, loss, or dispute of any kind arising out of or related to data handling on or through the Platform.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly. We may collect any information you voluntarily submit to us through booking forms, search filters, WhatsApp messages, telephone calls, email correspondence, live chat, feedback forms, surveys, contests, promotions, or any other means of communication with the Platform, including but not limited to:

2.2 Information Collected Automatically. When you access the Platform, we, our service providers, and our analytics and advertising partners may automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, log files, SDKs, and similar technologies, including:
2.3 Information Received from Third Parties. We may receive information about you from Suppliers, advertising networks, analytics providers, social media platforms (where you interact with our pages), WhatsApp/Meta, payment or communication infrastructure providers used by Suppliers, and publicly available sources. We are not responsible for the accuracy or lawfulness of information provided to us by third parties, and by using the Platform you release the Company from any liability connected with such third-party-sourced information.
2.4 No Collection of Payment or Financial Instrument Data by the Company. For the avoidance of doubt, the Company does not request, collect, process, or store credit card numbers, bank account details, or any other financial instrument data from Users for the purpose of a rental transaction, because all such payments occur directly and exclusively between the User and the Supplier, entirely outside of any system, form, or channel operated or controlled by the Company. Any financial or card information you may at any time provide to a Supplier is governed exclusively by that Supplier’s own privacy and data-handling practices, over which the Company exercises no control, oversight, or responsibility whatsoever.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent (given by submitting information to us), the necessity of processing to take steps prior to facilitating an introduction to a Supplier at your request, our legitimate interests in operating, securing, marketing, and improving the Platform, and compliance with our legal obligations under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

We reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data derived from User information for any lawful business purpose, without restriction and without further notice or compensation to you, as such data does not identify you personally.
The nature of the Platform as a marketplace requires the sharing of certain information with third parties. You expressly acknowledge and consent to the following disclosures as a condition of using the Platform:
4.1 Suppliers. We share your name, contact details, inquiry details, requested dates, and location with the Supplier(s) associated with the vehicle(s) in which you have expressed interest, so that the Supplier may contact you, quote pricing, confirm availability, and arrange delivery, pickup, or collection. Once your information is transmitted to a Supplier, the Company has no further control over, responsibility for, or visibility into that Supplier’s use, storage, security, or disclosure of your information, and you agree that any claim relating to a Supplier’s handling of your data shall be brought solely against that Supplier and never against the Company.
4.2 Service Providers. We may share information with vendors, contractors, and service providers who perform services on our behalf, including hosting, cloud storage, analytics, customer communication tools (including WhatsApp Business/Meta), marketing platforms, and IT support. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
4.3 Corporate Transactions. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with any actual or proposed merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction involving United Media LLC or the Hey Renter brand, in which case information may be among the assets transferred or disclosed to prospective or actual acquirers and their advisors.
4.4 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms and Conditions; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the Company, Users, Suppliers, or the public; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
4.5 With Your Consent or Direction. We may share information for any other purpose disclosed to you and to which you consent at the time of collection or thereafter.
4.6 No Sale of Personal Information for Third-Party Marketing. The Company does not sell personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes in exchange for monetary consideration. This does not limit the sharing described in this Section 4, which is necessary for the Platform to function as a marketplace.
The Platform integrates with and links to third-party platforms, including WhatsApp/Meta, social media pages, and Supplier websites or communication channels. Any information you provide through these third-party platforms is subject to the privacy policies and terms of those platforms, not this Policy. The Company makes no representation or warranty regarding, and accepts no liability whatsoever for, the privacy or data practices of any third-party platform, Supplier, or linked website, and your use of any such third-party platform is entirely at your own risk.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, including for the duration necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal, regulatory, tax, or audit requirements under UAE law. We reserve sole discretion in determining appropriate retention periods, which may extend well beyond the completion of your inquiry or any rental, and we are under no obligation to disclose specific retention periods except where required by applicable law.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information under our control from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Company makes no guarantee, representation, or warranty, express or implied, that any information transmitted to or stored by the Platform will be free from unauthorized access, breach, loss, or misuse.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company, United Media LLC, and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense of any kind arising from or related to any unauthorized access to, alteration of, disclosure of, or destruction of your information, including as a result of any breach, cyberattack, third-party act, force majeure event, or Supplier or third-party platform failure, whether or not such breach results from the Company’s negligence, except to the extent such exclusion is prohibited by mandatory UAE law.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any such right, contact us using the details in Section 15.
We reserve the right to verify your identity before acting on any request, to decline requests that are unfounded, excessive, or that would require disproportionate effort, and to retain information notwithstanding a deletion request where retention is necessary for legal, contractual, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes, as permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee any specific timeframe for responding to requests beyond what is mandated by applicable law.
By providing your contact details through the Platform, you consent to receive marketing, promotional, and informational communications from us via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or telephone. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in such communications or by contacting us directly; opting out of marketing does not affect our ability to send you transactional or service-related communications relevant to an active inquiry.
The Platform does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We may modify this practice at our sole discretion without prior notice.
Given the international nature of the UAE tourism and rental market, your information may be collected, transferred to, stored, and processed in the United Arab Emirates or in other jurisdictions where the Company, its affiliates, or its service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those of your home jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you expressly consent to such transfer, storage, and processing, and you acknowledge that the Company shall not be liable for any consequence arising from differences between the data protection standards of your jurisdiction and those of the jurisdiction in which your information is processed.
The Platform is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us information should contact us immediately using the details in Section 15.
By using the Platform, you agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless United Media LLC, the Hey Renter brand, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, contractors, and representatives (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Platform, and any disclosure of personal information to a Supplier or third-party platform in connection with your use of the Platform, is entirely at your own risk, and that the Indemnified Parties shall bear no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the acts, omissions, security practices, or data handling of any Supplier or third party.

If any provision of this Policy is held by a competent court or authority to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed from this Policy, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be deemed replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent of protecting the Company to the fullest extent permitted by law.
This Policy, together with our Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the handling of your personal information on the Platform, and supersedes any prior understanding or agreement on that subject.
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, UAE.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, amend, or replace this Policy at any time and without prior notice, by posting the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised “Last updated” date. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Policy.
